BETDAQ, the global betting exchange, has become the official online betting partner of Celtic FC, one of Europe’s leading football clubs.

The deal was announced at the team’s Celtic Park ground at a ceremony featuring BETDAQ brand ambassador and Sky Sports pundit Alan McInally, the ex-Scotland striker who previously played for the Scottish Premier League side.

Throughout the 2011/12 season, BETDAQ will work with Celtic to offer fans the best odds on matches and unique bets on other sporting events.

BETDAQ will benefit from ongoing promotion on the official Celtic website as well as a branding presence at the club’s 60,000-capacity stadium in Glasgow, Scotland.

As a betting exchange, as opposed to a traditional bookmaker, fans can get better odds on BETDAQ by betting against each other.

Peter Lawwell, Celtic Chief Executive, commented: “We are delighted to announce the launch of our partnership with BETDAQ as our online betting partner for season 2011-12.  We look forward to offering supporters an exciting betting experience with one of the world’s leading betting exchanges”.

Brian O’Sullivan, BETDAQ Chief Executive, commented: “Through this sponsorship we are partnering with one of the biggest football clubs in the world, and engaging with a massive supporter base in our key markets. The passion of the Celtic supporters is what makes Celtic a truly unique club and we are very excited about becoming Celtic’s online betting partner for the coming season.”

Alan McInally, BETDAQ brand ambassador, added: “With the shared Irish heritage of BETDAQ and Celtic Football Club, this is an exciting development for the Club’s fans.  Supporters who like a flutter on their team will get great odds with BETDAQ.”
