EXETER ANALYSIS: WARWICK OFF: Warwick today has been abandoned (waterlogging) and Daqman searches the card at Exeter for his bets, where one that sidesteps the Eider Chase tomorrow is 6.0. The nap is a Yorkshire raider at Lingfield.

DAQMAN IS YOUR SATURDAY KING: For the Eider plus a Grade-3 chase at Kempton and the Bobbyjo at Fairyhouse. Daqman is the man to mark your card: on 11 lays in a row, eight bankers out of 10, and leading Pricewise 17-10.

BALLYCULLA CAN PUT HIS BACK INTO IT NOW

2.20 Exeter Qualando was short-headed by a previous winner over two furlongs shorter on this course, mugged on the line, trading at 1.01 in running.

Wait A Second’s conqueror at Chepstow had no previous form under Rules but came from a winning Point. His stablemate, Blackthorn Prince, another from Pointing, costing £200,000, is the likely lad to take out of the race for a handicap.

The stablemate Gold Present was second to at Ascot in a bumper went on to open his hurdles account by 18 lengths. Wizards Bridge had good form earlier in the season.

2.50 Exeter Molo won in the mud at Newcastle in November but has disappointed since and was led down to the start on the last day.

Rosa Imperialis is from a staying family and she won over three furlongs further last time. The drop back in trip here is a worry.

Mystery Drama, on the other hand, is up in trip and has been given plenty to do over shorter: claimed off here, she is a fair bet at 7.4 on BETDAQ. We need to have a pound on the reappearing Bull And Bush, as we have to do with stablemates.

3.20 Exeter Twentytwo’s Taken was two from three in Irish bumpers for Stuart Crawford, and tried to give lumps of weight to the winner when runner-up first time over hurdles at Plumpton.

Storming Strumpet and Fountains Blossom were fair bumper winners until overfaced in a Listed at Cheltenham.

Magic Magnolia is expected to take them on at a lick, but has so far fallen short after three front-running efforts.

3.50 Exeter Moving Waves was doing all right until stuck in the mud at Uttoxeter. Xaarcet ran at Taunton over further as if the drop back to this trip would help but it hasn’t always helped before. It’s a tricky betting race.

4.20 Exeter Todd has raced as if needing this step up to almost 3m, and would be going for a hat-trick but for failing to concede weight by only length to the winner on the last day. The 7.0 on BETDAQ this morning was big.

The grey Qalinas likes his own way, and nearly got it at Chepstow, going down a short-head after trying to make all.

Master Malt won’t want any more rain but he does get the benefit of A P McCoy’s drive. There’s very little between Dawson City and Absolutely Bygones on Plumpton form.

4.50 Exeter Best race of the day over jumps. Ballyculla, a Westerner, misses the Eider Chase and looks well in with several of these.

Much of a horse’s jumping ability is down to bending its back and, after chiropractic treatment, Ballyculla (6.0 on BETDAQ this morning) will feel more like doing that now.

But five horses are separated by only two points in the BETDAQ orange in this class-3 contest. Tinker Time has won a grade higher, albeit in a small field.

Top Wood has toughed it out at Towcester and Haydock before now and will be hard to beat after a confidence booster over hurdles.

FAB CHANCE OF LOLLY FOR YORKSHIRE RAIDER

4.0 Lingfield (Ladbrokes Handicap) They’re saying in the Press that Never To Be was progressive for John Gosden but he could never quite hack it with his penalty for winning at Kempton in the autumn of 2013.

Gelded now starting back for a new yard and both change of scenery and change of mind could help, though has to give weight all round.

But the one I like is Fab Lolly, with Middleham trainer James Bethell showing a 50% strike rate (3-6) with his few runners this year, so significant he travels down to Surrey.

Loyalty had his first success in 14 months here in January and tries for his fifth win on the course, but Fab Lolly has been highly tried recently. As a result, he’s shed a couple of pounds for this drop in class.

DAQMAN’S BETS (1 to 9 stakes show the strength; 10 is a banker)
BET 5pts win MYSTERY DRAMA and 2pts win BULL AND BUSH (2.50 Exeter)
