NOTORIOUS SUPERNAP THEN A 7-1 WINNER Daqman bounced straight back to form for a superb Sunday after a shocking Saturday, returning another supernap success and a 7-1 winner yesterday from only three races.

WON 7-1 JENNYS SURPRISE (from 9.8 on BETDAQ)
WON 5-4 MONBEG NOTORIOUS (supernap)

DAQMAN’S 5.7 BET IN THE SURREY NATIONAL Today Daqman checks out his warning of yesterday about negative value at Ffos Las and positive punter-friendly vibes in the BETDAQ markets. He tries a 5.7 offer in the Surrey National but he naps at Carlisle.

BETDAQ VALUE NO SURPRISE

Jenny jumped to it at Ffos Las. That was my 7-1 googly yesterday against those racecourse layers I’d warned you about that made the track the worst in the country for overrounds against the punter.

The race which Jennys Surprise won was the worst of the day at Ffos Las, with an SP Total return of 125%, though it has to be said that Navan opened with a shocker (130%).

Here are the Ffos Las SP returns compared with the BETDAQ morning offers I listed at 9.31 yesterday (best to worst in each case):

3.50 Lingfield (Surrey National) BETDAQ value is an everyday starter for all your betting, and quality competitive races bring out the best percentages, like the 106% orange for this one at 8.30 a.m. this morning.

Coolking won it last year, and Gary Moore will have tried to wind him up for this race again, 5lb higher, though with no encouragement in his recent form.

The Artful Cobbler goes for a hat-trick, unexposed at today’s longer trip, but there’s nothing in his breeding says he’ll get it.

Morney Wing will, back to form last time out and still 10lb lower than when taking the Sussex National at a similar time last year. Bears Rails has won only lower-grade chases.

But Cyclop, second in the Southern National at Fontwell in the autumn, landed the Lincolnshire National on Boxing Day. I took some 5.7 Morney Wing.

3.35 Carlisle Two class-3 races here. Two chances for Sue Smith, starting with Blottos in this one.

Still a novice and pitched in to his first handicap today a couple of pounds high on collateral form.

Sakhee’s City performed well on heavy to dispose of a previous hat-trick scorer at Catterick on the last day.

Slanelough has tried before and failed to step up from class 4 but, like Blottos, is only six and could move forward at any time. Blottos has the weight pull and was strongly fancied (2.34 in a 106% orange on BETDAQ) this morning.

Four-time winner around this part of the season in 2016, Tomngerry remains in the handicapper’s grip.

Lord Ballim is a Spring horse (4-5 on better ground last year).

4.40 Carlisle Sue Smith has Never Up in this one. In fact, has come ‘up’ three times over fences but ‘never’ this far, and his Flat pedigree isn’t helpful for this test, nor is his usual front-running style.

In just two chases, Bako De La Saulaie has overtaken his hurdles rating but his winning form over the smaller obstacles was on good to soft.

This is Chidwell’s time of year and the deeper the ground the better for him. He is capable of carrying a big weight.

Newtown Lad won as a novice on heavy but, if Lucy Wadham has him right again, Shanroe Santos (5.0 offers) should win this, dropped in class.

Second in a Grade 3 at Cheltenham and runner-up again in the Sussex National in January, he was aimed too high at Sandown a fortnight back.

DAQMAN’S BETS (each staked to win 20 points)
BET 14pts win (nap) BLOTTOS (3.35 Carlisle)
BET 4.25pts win MORNEY WING (3.50 Lingfield)
BET 5pts win SHANROE SANTOS (4.40 Carlisle)
