DAQMAN CELEBRATES 21 WINNERS IN EIGHT DAYS: Seven winners on Saturday and Sunday! It’s been another huge weekend for Daqman and another sequence of eight winning days out of nine, as his revised staking plan – based on race quality – kicks in to his profitability. The aim was steady profits and limited losses. Of course, you can stake what you like. Just make your offers in the BETDAQ orange.

TODAY: The race quality is down but Daqman spreads his stakes so that just one winner from his three picks at Chepstow will ensure a profit on the day.

HOPING BAND IS ON THE RUN

1.45 Chepstow Prissy Missy, with form figures of 8552722, looks one to take on at the top end of the market. She fought back at Bath last time out and may have been beaten by a decent one in Aryaaf but she just doesn’t seem too keen on winning and might be vulnerable here to the more progressive Carmel.

The Archie Watson trained runner has the considerable assistance of Oisin Murphy in the saddle and makes her handicap debut after steady improvement in three starts. She also sports cheekpieces for the first time.

The Watson stable remain in top form (12 winners in the last 14 days) and it’s interesting to note that Carmel was sent off favourite on debut at Newbury, so is clearly well thought of and a starting handicap mark of just 59 may look very lenient after today’s race.

The others make limited appeal, including the Richard Hannon trained Beignet who looks throughly exposed.

2.15 Chepstow It might be worth sticking with Archie Watson here for hopefully a quick-fire double.

Band Practice can be completely forgiven a poor run at Beverley last time time out when her saddle slipped and Daniel Tudhope lost an iron.

She is better judged on her debut effort – the problem is that is hard to evaluate. She came second in a two horse race at Lingfield !!! She was a three and a half length second to the 1/16 shot Al Raya who has gone on to win a Group 3 in France.

It would be very dangerous to take the Lingfield form seriously or literally but I do know that Band Practice is worth another chance after her latest start and the fact that she holds an entry for the Cheveley Park bodes well in terms of her long term aspirations.

As I said in the 1.45pm race, the Archie Watson stable are in good form and this looks quite a modest race. Allez Sophia has shown form but doesn’t look a world beater.

4.45 Chepstow Sticking at Chepstow for today’s final bet in a competitive finale over a mile and a half.

Bug Boy is taken to show improved form for the step up in trip, he stayed on well when winning over 1m 2f at Ffos Las last month and the Windsor race he contested last time out was a much tougher test than this.

Magic Act, on breeding, looks an interesting handicap debutant for Mark Johnston but the problem is his form so far has been woeful. Beaten 15, 74 and 45 lengths in three starts.

DAQMAN’S BETS (staked to win 10 points)
BET 3.4pts win CARMEL (1.45 Chepstow)
BET 4.0pts win (nap) BAND PRACTICE (2.15 Chepstow)
BET 2.5pts win BUG BOY (4.45 Chepstow)
