INTELLIGENT TIPPING LANDS DAQMAN 10-1 BIG WIN: Daqman’s latest winning sequence ended with 156 points profit in six days but he gave Pricewise of the Racing Post another intelligent thumping, when his value bet, Intellogent (WON 10-1), took yesterday’s Prix Jean Prat at Deauville, variously returned at 12-1 and 101-10. We’ll call it 10-1.

READY FOR THE JULY MEETING 141 UP ON PRICEWISE: Daqman now leads Pricewise with a score of 45-16 (Daqman +72, Pricewise -69 to a single-unit level stake). There’ll be no more action between them until the start of the July Meeting on Thursday.

909 POINTS SCORED IN THREE WINNING SEQUENCES: Three winning Daqman sequences in the space of 60 days produced 909 points. Today we detail the success of the summer spree so far. Tomorrow: how our man intends another long run of success culminating in Goodwood with the overall target 1,000 points profit.

HAPPY AND GLORIOUS

2.00 Ayr 16 flat races at Ayr and Wolverhampton this afternoon and this is the ONLY non-handicap event!

Baronial Pride has a penalty to defy after his good win at Hamilton on debut but it came on soft ground and I wouldn’t be rushing to take short odds about him repeating the win on totally different ground and with extra weight. That really would be gambling.

The other penalised runner is Celebrity Dancer who also has soft ground form and was a well beaten third of five at Pontefract last time out – seemingly struggling under the penalty for his debut win at the same course.

The front two make the market but Amadeus Grey might be worth another chance. He was a beaten odds-on favourite at Newcastle last time out but could be suited by the drop down in trip and proved at Wetherby he could handle the fast ground.

Royal Big Night was beaten nearly 10 lengths into fourth on debut at York and the Mark Johnston trained runner is likely to leave that form behind but it’s Amadeus Grey that looks the value at around 6.2 on BETDAQ at the time of writing.

6.10 Windsor Glorious Lover was as green as the grass he was running on at Newbury on debut but still ran a huge race to finish third at 20/1 to Confiding. The runner-up Almurr boosted the form with a win at Newbury last week and with normal improvement Glorious Lover should take plenty of beating here for trainer Ed Walker.

Boa Nova won well at Bath on debut but was subsequently outclassed at Royal Ascot in the Coventry and a bigger danger may come from Sense of Belonging whose short odds defeat at Hamilton last time might be attributable to the soft ground.

9.00 Ripon I didn’t think there was too much to choose between Restive Spirit and Timespan here – certainly not as much as the differential in BETDAQ prices 1.51 v 3.3 at the time of writing in what looks a match.

Timespan got the hang of things late on at Windsor on her debut and could improve significantly for that run and can give the favourite, who was a creditable second at Newmarket, a good run for his money.

DAQMAN’S BETS (Staked to win 20 points)
BET 3.8pts win AMADEUS GREY (2.00 Ayr)
BET 15.6pts win (nap) GLORIOUS LOVER (6.10 Windsor)
