WORLD CUP: We preview Tuesday’s first semi-final between FRANCE v BELGIUM with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

FRANCE v BELGIUM

7pm The stakes couldn’t get any higher on Tuesday as a place in the World Cup Final awaits the winner. Belgium have had some scary moments in the World Cup thus far however they arrive into the semi final with five wins from five games. France have been very impressive at times and this should be an absolute cracker!

France are favourites, however with Belgium beating Brazil to get here they shouldn’t be underestimated. The match odds at the time of writing currently trade; France 2.58, Belgium 3.2 and the draw is 3.3. Both sides have seen plenty of goals in their games to get to this stage, and under 2.5 goals is trading 1.83 while over 2.5 goals is 2.18.

We feel that there is definitely some value in the overs at 2.18. Ok, semi finals can always be very cagey affairs however there is a lot of attacking talent on display here. We can see Belgium sitting back a little more than France; however they have been superb on the counter attack and that seems to suit their style of play.

In the match odds, we’d have to consider laying France at 2.58. We expect the game to be a lot closer than those odds suggest – with Belgium looking good value at 3.2. There’s bound to be plenty of backers of the draw at 3.3, however we feel that the best value lies with the France lay in this market. Over all, our bet of the game is over 2.5 goals at 2.18. We feel that this should be odds on – an early goal can really spice things up here and we could see a similar game to the one we saw between France and Argentina. Belgium have plenty of goals in them too, as we have seen and at the odds we can’t get away from overs.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 2.18.
