11.5 NAP AFTER DAQMAN DOUBLE UP: Daqman went hunting for Daq Multiples yesterday and landed a Goodwood double for an overall profit of 31.50, let down for a treble by his nap, Shackleton. He describes today’s nap as ‘huge at 11.5 on BETDAQ this morning’ for a bull’s-eye bet.
Friday: profit on the day 31.50 points
WON 3-1 MANXMAN
WON 15-8 SANTORINI STAR
18.0 IRISH GUINEAS OUTSIDER: Daqman also goes for an 18.0 outsider in the Irish 2,000 Guineas but has a saver on the favourite.
RASH GUINEAS BID FOR GOLD
⭕ 3.40 Curragh (Irish 2,000 Guineas): STATS: Winners by stall since 2018 were 1:2:1:1:3:6. TRAINERS: Aidan O’Brien eight times in 20 years. FAVOURITES: 50%. WEATHER: Going good to firm (watered) but light rain all day from 11 am.
1: RASHABAR (1) Has the plum draw and easing of the ground favours his stamina and style. Beaten a neck in the Lagardere (soft at Longchamp in October), with Field Of Gold fourth and Henri Matisse fifth.
Needed the race when second to Jonquil in the Greenham before that one was beaten a head by Henri Matisse in the French 2,000 Guineas. BETDAQ 18.0 offers and around 2-1 a place.
2: FIELD OF GOLD The Craven Stakes winner was beaten half a length, finishing too late under Kieran Shoemark, in the Newmarket 2,000 Guineas.
Drawn 9, with only one winner of this (a 25-1 outsider) from higher than stall six in the decade. Irish champion Colin Keane takes the ride.
3: OFFICER (stall 3), under leading jockey in the race, Ryan Moore, is more mature than his three-only runs up to Listed level for Aidan O’Brien. Deputising for Twain, who is out until the autumn.
4: HOTAZHELL (4) Runner-up to O’Brien’s French Guineas winner, Henri Matisse, in the Irish Futurity last August (Scorthy Champ third) and beat Derby favourite, Delacroix (also O’Brien), in the Doncaster Futurity in October.
Tough task tackling race-fit rivals and Jessica Harrington stable form is currently poor: 1-31
SCORTHY CHAMP (8) Runner-up to Henri Matisse in the National Stakes in September, turning around Futurity form, but modest seventh in the Newmarket 2,000 Guineas, when Expanded (2) was ninth.
COSMIC YEAR (5) Juddmonte stablemate of Field Of Gold, has 10lb to find on the favourite but in-form Oisin Murphy in the saddle.
FRANKEL OPPORTUNITY KNOCKS
⭕ 2.05 Goodwood (Cocked Hat Stakes) The last Derby trial – made famous by Troy (1979) – has Opportunity knocking on the door for his sire, Frankel, against the Postponed colt Amiloc: that‘s William Haggas v Ralph Beckett.
⭕ 3.15 Goodwood (Height Of Fashion Stakes) A grey hope for the Oaks, Perfect Your Craft, apt description of trainer Beckett’s rise and rise.
Well drawn in 5, side by side with Music Piece (4) for the yard with a 20% strike rate, Andrew Balding, 60 up at Kingsclere already this year.
AIN’T HE JUST DANGER TO BLAZE
⭕ 3.00 Haydock (Sandy Lane Stakes, Group 2, 6f) Rain on good to firm ground (watered).
Winners’ ratings of 107, 110 and 124 in the last three seasons off the same 9st 2lb suggest that the quality of this race varies across the Pattern scale.
Arizona Blaze is versatile as to trip and ground: second in the Breeders Cup Juvenile (5f firm, Big Mojo 4th, Ides Of March 7th) but a length third to Henri Matisse (7f) and a winner at Chantilly (5.5f good to soft) the last day.
Symbol Of Honour beat Ides of March less than two lengths the last day. Powerful Glory, unbeaten but unexposed (Richard Fahey 3-45).
Big Mojo won the Commonwealth Cup Trial, first run after a wind op, but the third, 12.5 offer Ain’t Nobody, was little more than a length behind, hampered near the finish, and looks the main danger to Arizona Blaze.
STARLUST CAN DO A BATTAASH
⭕ 3.30 Haydock (Temple Stakes) Starlust climbed from handicap to Breeders Cup Sprint triumph last year and, like the flying Battaash (won with 9st 9lb in 2018), has to give weight all round. Stable in form.
Magheera, Washington Heights and Rockstar (all Group 3 winners), Electric Storm and She’s Quality (Listed) and handicapper American Affair have nowhere near the top-grade form of Starlust.
As well as his Breeders Cup, Starlust would have won the Nunthorpe had Rossa Ryan not dropped his whip in the closing stages. Huge at 11.5 on Betdaq Betting Exchange this morning.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
