COUNTDOWN TO THE ARC: THE STORY OF ENABLE: Daqman checks out the sensational record of superstar mare Enable, race by race, before tomorrow asking the question on everyone’s lips: can she be beaten in her third Arc de Triomphe on Sunday?

KEMPTON SPECIAL: DAQMAN saves all his bets for this evening’s card at Kempton. He’s keeping stakes low with each bet staked to win 10 points.

RACE-BY-RACE RECORD OF A SUPERSTAR

The story so far. Bred by Juddmonte Farms, and owned by Khalid Abdullah, Enable is by Nathaniel out of a Sadler’s Wells mare. Her prime attribute: ‘she’s got great mental strength’- John Gosden, trainer.

She’s won at 11 different venues: even her two Arcs were on different tracks, Chantilly taking over from Longchamp in 2017 where rebuilding work was taking place, but with Longchamp restored last year and now the scene of her treble bid on Saturday.

Lucky 13 wins: left to right: rating at the time of the race; jockey; race; venue; distance; date; second.

START THE REVOLUTIONARY

5.10 Kempton Swell Song seemed to appreciate the drop back to the minimum trip with a good second at Newcastle last time out.

The Robert Cowell trained filly has been nudged up a pound for that effort, which doesn’t look unduly harsh and she should be able to go one better in this company.

She remains a maiden but her better races have come on the all-weather and over this trip.

There’s been morning support on BETDAQ for Penwood who is another who has been racing over longer trips. She was dropped back to this trip at Lingfield last week and everything seemed to happen little quick for her so the case around around her really has to be built around her dropping in class.

Katherine Place tackles Kempton for the first time but is only a modest performer. Don’t be be misled by her recent second. It came in a three runner race at Brighton and she was beaten nine lengths!

7.10 Kempton The first of two class 4 handicaps are the big races of the night (well it is a Tuesday!).

Roger Varian looks to have the answer to this fillies handicap over a mile with Dubrava who opened her account with a win over seven furlongs here last time out but gave the distinct impression she was crying out for the extra trip.

Her only previous attempt over a longer trip was a misleading one at Sandown where things went wrong for her in the race, she was badly impeded and tailed off. Strike a line through that piece of form.

She should have too much class for the main danger Havana Jane who is now handicapping after making all to win at Wolverhampton last time out where she beat little of note.

Mums Hope has blinkers on for the first time and could easily continue her consistency with a placed effort.

7.40 Kempton It could well be another for Roger Varian here, this time with Revolutionise who might be able to defy a 5lb hike in the weights for a smooth course and distance win last month.

The form of that win has taken a boost since with the runner-up finishing second again and notably third placed Chil Chil going on to win a class 2 handicap at Newmarket last week.

The Varian stable are ticking over nicely with eight winners in the last fortnight and he should prove too strong for a field of experienced sprint handicappers – the chief challenge may emerge from the speedy Swiss Pride who can prove hard to peg back.
