DAQMAN SEQUENCE ENDS AT FIVE: After Daqman’s four wins in a row on Sunday, Monsieur Patat (WON 5-1) made the sequence five consecutive to launch Daqman’s Bank Holiday Monday bets which also produced places at 11-1 and 14-1 but there were no more winners.

DELACROIX DERBY FAVOURITE: Delacroix became favourite for the Epsom Derby (June 7) yesterday but Ryan Moore’s choice of ride is likely to be left to the 11th hour.

‘WILL HE WON’T HE’ DERBY PICK

BALLYDOYLE Derby stalling. There are three ways to look at the Derby market and Aidan O’Brien managed to play them all in his latest interviews.

The Lion In Winter was the one but then he drifts when O’Brien declares: ‘It would be hard for Ryan Moore not to ride Delacroix.’

Delacroix takes over as favourite but O’Brien warns: ‘Ryan will make up his mind late, as late as he can.’

So late will the decision be left that ‘Ryan will have to look at the draw and the way The Lion In Winter is. It will be hard not to pick Delacroix but that’s not to say he won’t.’

PINA COLLECTA

⭕ 3.00 Leicester By far the best race on the card and it looks well above average with the clash of last time out winners Pina Sonata and Alfareqa and the pair, with their experience, should dominate.

Preference has to go to Pina Sonata who built on a promising fourth on debut at Newmarket to win at Wolverhampton in April when she looked very impressive in the closing stages. It looks as though James Fanshawe has a nice one on his hands.

Alfareqa was down the field at Kempton on debut but improved on that effort to win at Doncaster where she looked as though she would appreciate today’s extra furlong. A slight concern would be that the Owen Burrows yard is 0-10 over the past fortnight.

UBIQUITOUS ALL OVER BRIGHTON

⭕ 4.45 Brighton I’ve mentioned before about how Brighton is high on the list for the ‘horses for courses’ system and the helter-skelter circuit certainly doesn’t suit all.

That’s not the case with Mr Ubiquitous who followed up his Windsor win with a success here last Wednesday when he stayed on nicely inside the closing stages.

The 5lb penalty is part mitigated by the 3lb claim of Kaiya Fraser who has ridden him to good effect in the past.

Main Betdaq Betting Exchange market rival Equalised seems best over six furlongs and whilst a class dropper is by no means certain to see out this trip.

A bigger danger may again come from Callout who has been knocking on the door, including when second to Mr Ubiquitous here last week.

NEEDS A SERIOUS LOOK

⭕ 7.42 Wolverhampton Course and distance hat-trick seeker Serious Look has been scoring with plenty in hand and is taken to defy a 6lb penalty.

Interesting to note he’s won from both stalls 2 and 10 but the preference has to be for a low draw here so he’s fared well in 3 tonight.

Bearaway is another course and distance winner who comes into this on his best form but has been disappointing of late. It remains to be seen whether the booking of Oisin Murphy can change fortunes.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
