21 POINTS PROFIT IN TWO DAYS: Daqman struck with two winners out of three yesterday including his nap MR COLONEL WON 11-10. He added to it when his third and final selection ANALOGICAL WON 100-30 at Newcastle for a 17.3 point profit haul on the day.
Monday PROFIT of 17.3 points
WON 11-10 MR COLONEL (nap)
WON 100-30 ANALOGICAL
Sunday PROFIT of 4.0 points
WON 15-8 MARKET HOUSE
EPSOM STALLED: The season opening card at Epsom today has been abandoned and will now be staged next Tuesday after a fault was found with the course irrigation system. The card will feature the Listed Blue Riband Trial for the Derby.
TUESDAY NAP: Daqman plays his nap card at Pontefract with selections also for Yarmouth and Wolverhampton.
AFTER YOU, LADY
⭕ 2.17 Pontefract Lady Youmzain created an excellent impression when winning on debut at Beverley and in what could be a weak event (with the defection of Uncertainty) she should be able to win under a 7lb penalty in this novice event.
Defying a penalty in this events is never easy and the form of the Beverley race hasn’t worked out well but she still looks too strong for chief Betdaq Betting Exchange rival Reader who was soundly beaten at Chelmsford after an encouraging debut at Goodwood.
Debutants Town Queen and Elemma haven’t attracted much support in the early market and neither hold any entries beyond today for bigger races.
BOLD TO STRIKE GOLD
⭕ 5.00 Wolverhampton Class 4 is as good as it gets at Dunstall Park tonight and this sees an interesting early season two-year-old skirmish between Final Appeal and Blackberry Bold.
It might be closer than the market suggests given they were split by just half a length on respective debuts at Nottingham when they were second and third to Rotelle. Blackberry Bold is 3lb better off here with her more generous fillies allowance which is more than enough to turn that form around.
As ever, price dictates and as this looks a coin flip to me I’m more than happy to take the Betdaq 4.0 on Blackberry Bold over the 1.92 about the favourite Final Appeal.
THE CRAFTY APPROACH
⭕ 5.25 Yarmouth A modest mile handicap concludes the card and Lady Of Clover makes limited appeal at the top of the market. She only beat one home on her debut – which remains her only start on turf – and gave the impression of wanting further when sixth at Southwell over this trip last time out.
I’d rather play a couple at bigger odds for a WIN 20 return. She’s Crafty made a pleasing stable debut for George Margarson at Leicester eight days ago when fourth in a big field at Leicester. She was staying on nicely at the end of the seven furlongs so this step up a furlong should suit her perfectly and she looks a shade over-priced.
At bigger odds and more speculatively Lucky Sevens showed a lot more on handicap debut at Wolverhampton when a 25-1 sixth. He now needs to convert that form to the turf but the stable struck with a Lingfield winner yesterday and on Sunday over the jumps with my selection Market House.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
