GOAL! DAQMAN SHOOTS FOUR NAPS IN A ROW: Daqman’s done it again! Taking careful aim at meetings as diverse as Baden-Baden, Sandown Park, Brighton and Musselburgh yesterday, he has landed four naps – two of them maximum-stakes bankers – in the last four days:

NAP Yesterday GOAL (WON 7-4)

HE SNAPS UP 20-1 SLIP BY THE LAYERS: Daqman capped nine days of big hitters with a 20-1 shocker at Goodwood yesterday, Slip Sliding Away. His 10 top-odds winners in that time:

93 POINTS PROFIT IN FIVE WINNING DAYS: His 15 wins in five consecutive winning days has brought in a profit of 93 points: Friday (three winners, 23 points), Saturday (three wins, 20 points), Sunday (three winners, 15 points), Monday (two winners, 5 points), Tuesday (four winners, 30 points). Total: 15 winners for 93 points.

Who better to rely on for a nap hand of naps than A P McCoy. Unless there’s some kind of hiccup, he can add the sugar-coating to my sequence at Southwell this afternoon.

Sugar Hiccup (3.10) landed a touch at Newton Abbot and was a runaway winner at Fontwell, yet is better than even money on BETDAQ this morning, with her nearest rivals a maiden under rules getting only 8lb (Duchess Theatre) and one – My Oh Mount Brown – returning from a long absence and never before a threat first run back.

Shilla (2.00) looks the other good thing in a poor turn-out at Bath because of the firm ground. Lingfield is also weak today, excepting the 4.50 class-4 handicap in which High Time Too at 13.5 could boost the chances of Gone Dutch in a BETDAQ race tonight. Roll on Kempton Park!

6.30 Kempton (Winners Are Welcome At Betdaq Nursery Handicap) With Flying Bear out, Fine Art Fair (holds Boston Alex) is regarded as the standout by the morning market but back-to-back wins from the front have cost him weight and he’s not certain to hold Debt Settler on revise terms.

That knocks the form, since Debt Settler has nothing much to shout about on his CV and was remote behind Flying Bear at Goodwood.

Weisse Socken’s white socks should be seen in the closing stages: forget her last run when carried right at the start, worst drawn of the runners at Chester. She’d won on that course before that and was an unlucky runner-up when a gap closed on her at Brighton.

The danger is Aspirant, well there at this trip in all three of his 6f maidens. In his first run gelded and in his first handicap, with that finishing drive of Richard Hughes to assist, I can see him taking advantage of his 7lb pull on the filly.

7.30 Kempton (Commission Free 1st Month At Betdaq Handicap) Richard Hannon won this last year with an exposed maiden off the top of the handicap. His top weight this year, The Gatling Boy, has already won a race, drops in grade and is actually down in the ratings.

Perfect Haven and Zain Spirit are also down in class, while Gone Dutch, now weighted to just about dead-heat with Moma Lee, is the only course winner in the race and a good one at that.

For Posterity was eased when beaten at Newmarket and could improve for his first handicap, while the unexposed Araqella may lack the experience of the others in this field but was a very willing winner ay Yarmouth recently.

Araqella is bred to be the one with a future and it was a bit surprising to see Gone Dutch nudge her out of the favourite’s seat this morning.

It’s a very hard race, with Gone Dutch’s CD win seemingly the dominant feature of the form, while The Gatling Boy is big at 11.0. You have to see a horse’s second run before you can be sure and it doesn’t say much for the well-bred Araqella that she’s kept to this level.

A stakes saver was affordable this morning with such a low total percentage in the BETDAQ orange, though it still leaves me with a fairly narrow margin. So I’ll have to be brave in the next race.

8.00 Kempton (£200 Free Bets At Betdaq/British Stallion Studs EBF Maiden Fillies’ Stakes) Brave in this one? Surely not. There are four at the head of the market within two points of each other on BETDAQ.

There’s precious little form to go on and these are fillies, but I’m mindful of the excellent year Paul Cole is having with his two-year-olds and so my single selection is not through bravery but just having a punt at a too-big 16.0 Rose Buck.

8.30 Kempton (Betdaq 1st UK Race Commission Free Handicap) In its four years, this prize has been split between three-year-olds and older horses. David Lanagan won the initial running with a three-year-old off 85, ridden by Ted Durcan.

Lanagan and Durcan team up today with Portmonarch (on 82), who just sneaks in to the winners’ rating parameter for this race, with Lanagan scoring two wins from three runners in five days, and getting 100% out of his horses (he would be top in the Racing Post Trainerspot but is ruled out because he has had fewer than five runners in the fortnight).

Portmonarch drops back a grade to the level of his Wolver win in July but faces strong opposition from Infinite Hope whose best run last season was over CD after breaking her maiden.

Mutanaweb ‘could be anything’ in his first handicap but the one that catches my eye is Ikhtisas, now stepped up in trip, and 9.2 on BETDAQ this morning.

The American-bred’s sire has a 42% strike rate on AW and the dam is related to Grade-1 performers on dirt. Another excellent ‘book’ of offers in the orange (108%), even so early in the morning. Yes, Betdaq’s again punter-friendly for best value.
