3RD 9-2 FOREST SPIRIT
Saturday: Final day of the jumps: profit 28.50
WON 10-1 BLUEKING D’OROUX
WON 5-6 GAELIC WARRIOR
TODAY: Daqman goes through the card at the Ascot trials meeting, bets including 14.0 and 21.0 BETDAQ outsiders.
GOLDWORK STABLE WINS THIS
⭕ 1.10 Ascot (Royal Ascot Two-Year-Old Trial): Albeit usually with much smaller fields than today, the results by stall of this trial are 3, 3, 2, 2, 1, 4, 3, 1, 1, 4. It’s a poor race for favourites.
Best recent winner has been the subsequent Windsor Castle scorer (2021) Chipotle for Eve Johnson-Houghton, who has the Dark Angel colt, Goldwork, coming out of the one stall today. BETDAQ 21.0.
MOORE’S DAY: NO QUESTION
⭕ 1.40 Ascot (Queen Anne Stakes Trial): Again a much bigger turn-out than usual, with the leading trainer for the race, Richard Hannon, hiring Ryan Moore for Unquestionable, making his debut for the yard.
Hannon won two Listed and a Grade 2 at Ascot with his five-year-old winner of this, Chindit (2023).
Unquestionable, a Wootton Bassett colt, was the 2023 Breeders Cup Juvenile hero for Aidan O’Brien but last year was well beaten in the Irish Guineas and the St James’s Palace Stakes. Rosallion won both races for Hannon.
Before unsuccessful adventures in Hong Kong and Australia, Docklands, Britannia Handicap winner at age three, ran second in last year’s Queen Anne on firm ground.
Sardinian Warrior ran away with an AW hat-trick at Southwell and has that ‘could be anything’ look.
COMEDY CAN OUST COLTRANE
⭕ 2.15 Ascot (Sagaro Stakes): A poor field with Coltrane likely odds on for the Sagaro hat-trick cigar, 10lb or more clear of the three others with his stable in early-bird form.
Yashin, who has won only once in the last three years (1m 6f at this Group 3 level for Jessica Harrington), makes his debut for Michael Bell after a second wind op.
Feigning Madness has not done much since his juvenile days and steps up in trip as a gelding.
The mare Divine Comedy ran half-a-length second in a big field for the Ascot Stakes (2m 4f on firm last year) and started the season well, just failing to catch the front-runner in a Nottingham Listed over shorter. Ryan Moore again.
ELECTROLYTE YARD SPARKING
⭕ 2.50 Ascot (Commonwealth Cup Trial): Karl Burke’s outfit has won this twice in the last five years but Arabie (rated 106) picked up the 2024 Robert Papin on good to soft ground and first-time visor today suggests that they weren’t too pleased with his reappearance run.
Stablemate Rebel’s Gamble had the handicapper so impressed with his Spring Cup win at Lingfield that he hiked him 10lb to 105, which means he’s got to take his chance in the Pattern.
Ryan Moore is again a big player here on Electrolyte, beaten just a nose in the Coventry on this course at the royal meeting. Stable striking at 34%.
Big Mojo was fourth in the Breeders Cup Juvenile (5f) on the very fast Del Mar turf, beaten only a length. First run after a wind op.
Diablo Rojo should improve on his seasonal debut runs, back in trip from the Greenham and now on firm ground.
HOLLIE DOYLE VALUE CHIEF
⭕ 3.23 Ascot: Isle Of Lismore won this sprint handicap last season. He’s 7lb lower this time around and has repeated his Craven meeting prep run at Newmarket.
Robert Cowell has managed to engage last year’s winning jockey, Kieran Shoemark, who is in the limelight these days as Team Gosden’s replacement for Frankie Dettori.
Zoulu Chief, who ran in the 2023 Coventry Stakes and another Group 2 at Meydan last year, had a run back at the Greenham meeting, blowing up after the long absence.
His jockey today, Hollie Doyle, has had 10 winners in seven days in the saddle since April 22, three of them in sprints.
Duran has also had a run back and Nigel Tinkler has ended the gelding’s year-long association with Faye McManoman in favour of a rare stable booking for Tom Marquand today.
‘Tink’ is clearly trying to beat the bogey of 25 consecutive losing turf runs so far in the new season.
Betdaq Betting Exchange 3.6 Duran, 6.2 Isle Of Lismore, 14 Zoulu Chief
DREAMS OF McMANUS DOUBLE
⭕ Punchestown (feature-race preview yesterday): Joseph O’Brien, who surprised by winning this with the four-year-old Harsh last year, tries to do the trick again with the big J P McManus filly Beyond Your Dreams (2.30).
Made late headway in the Fred Winter at Cheltenham but weakened before the last. BETDAQ offers of 9.3 this morning .

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
