ONE-TWO FROM DETECTIVE DAQMAN: Daqman landed winner and second and two more seconds in his three Tuesday races, as he continues his winner-a-day spree.

TODAY: Three more evening races but, as an afterthought, can’t resist one in the afternoon.
RACING MUST PAY FOR RACING
IT’S a regular topic. How to improve English racing? Who should be running the show as a supremo? Which track does best?
I always put in a plea for Aintree to have more racing, marvelling at the magnificent ground available, ever since I served on the Save The National Committee (yes, there’s no ready return of the readies even to maintain the status quo).
Epsom should be enobled as the track that bears the Derby crown, with more spent on prizemoney and training facilities, as the home of a race others plunder annually and use for multi-billion-pound breeding empires.
Strange how the two venues for the greatest races in the world are kept so parochial and limited.
BLUEBIRD CAN FLY AT 8.8
⭕ 7.23 Epsom Even with small fields at Epsom, a low draw is essential in sprints. With line-ups of eight (once) and six (twice), this race has been won three years in a row by the one stall; three out of eight by stall four.
The tried and tested front-runner who can take advantage is Mister Bluebird (4), winner over 5f, 6f and 7f in differing ground conditions.
Ridden for the first time at another speed track, Goodwood, by Jack Dace 24 days ago, his 7lb claim also helped him home. BETDAQ 8.8 was too big this morning.
SUDU LOOKS A SUPERNAP
⭕ 7.58 Epsom George Baker hoisted the Epsom flag over Royal Ascot when Get It – who won the 7.23 sprint at this meeting last season – took the Wokingham Stakes.
That gave George the chance to go on air and call for the restoration of Epsom to the training map, but that was already an old familiar cry when I had one in training there yonks ago.
Not a lot changes. What stays the same is the bonhomie of the people and just how tough it is training out on the blasted heath! Long live the Rubbing House.
Jim Boyle has five home runners at Epsom today, George Baker two, Simon Dow two.
Like Mister Bluebird, Boyle’s Belardo mare, Big Bear Hug, won on a similar track at Goodwood the last day and rarely runs a bad race.
But I’m leaning toward the three-year-olds, getting between 12lb and 19lb from the older horses.
‘Sudu would have won’ came the cry after he was continually blocked in his run at Newbuy, first time in a handicap, first run after being gelded.
DIAMOND STABLE SPARKLE
⭕ 9.00 Epsom Jim Boyle runs two – both CD winners here – George Baker just the one in this 7f handicap, which has been gifted to the low numbers (4, 4, 3, 3, 1, 3) six times in nine seasons, twice to Boyle.
But his four-time course winner Marlay Park has failed three times in this race (240) and stall 8 is not helpful.
Roger Varian, who trains Sudu in the 7.58, won three out of four with Brave Empire (stall 1 today) but, since the grey was gelded last autumn, he has moved to Ivan Furtado, starting any price you like; nothing doing even with a tongue-tie tried.
Diamondonthehill (2) has won and been placed at Lingfield and Goodwood in the Spring, both similar tracks and the Richard Newland stable is striking at 26%. Betdaq Betting Exchange 4.2 taken.
Dropped in the handicap since running in the Greenham, Aurora Majesty (3) is 2-3 for Hollie Doyle and she is back in the saddle today. BETDAQ 5.2.
CALAFRIO: CALL IN OISIN
⭕ AFTERNOON PICK (5.48 Thirsk): Form is often a jumble of collateral conundrums but here is a straightforward rerun of a race at Wetherby two weeks ago.
Lady Of The Garr (1st) beat Quercus (2nd), Asadjumeirah (4th), Golden Prosperity (5th) and Calafrio (6th).
Calafrio, out of luck in running for a division of today’s race last year, was twice denied a clear run at Wetherby.
Trainer Philip Kirby’s answer? Bring on Oisin Murphy to find the gaps and win over the CD for the second time. BETDAQ 4.0.

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….
Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
