INTERNATIONAL IS A LEVEL PLAYING-FIELD FOR BETDAQ PUNTERS: Punters don’t always have to choose between imponderables, says Daqman of the tough calls needed at York today. One-horse betting needs the kind of staking plan that’s won for us in the last six days. But you can play the BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE markets which are such incredible value – the Juddmonte International was 101 total percentages this morning – so that you can have more than one run for you.

10.0 ALENQUER IS BETDAQ VALUE

⭕ 3.35 York (Juddmonte International) Three-year-olds are 4-3 up since 2014 but are down 14-7 in the century so far, and are weak in the market against Mishriff and Love today.

Yet those two were beaten into the places, giving weight away to the Derby winner, Adayar in the King George, seemingly putting the Classic generation on top. Today’s three-year-olds are not Adayar but are entitled to improve again after only five races (Alenquer, receiving 7lb and has finished in front of Adayar) and eight races (Alcohol Free, receiving 10lb).

What makes it tough for the punter is that, as well as being a clash of the generations, the form is partly comparing mile with middle-distance results over an in-between trip, and comparing good-ground form with heavy.

Mac Swiney and Alcohol Free, in particular, have to prove themselves at 1m 2f, and the strong finisher Mishriff should find them out.

1 ALENQUER beat Adayar in the Sandown Classic Trial (going good, but slow time) at today’s trip but has secured only a 110 rating after heavy-ground slogs in the King Edward (Ascot Derby), which he won, and the Irish Derby, in which he was well-beaten third.

Being by a German sire, you’d think he wanted the heavy but Tom Marquand felt otherwise. Jockey (23% strike rate) and trainer William Haggas (35%) are in fine form, and he’s back to the Sandown trip and too big at BETDAQ 10.0.

Stablemate Mohaafeth was third, Juan Elcano second, at York last month, and seem to be Group-3 level, no more.

2 MISHRIFF £2m-plus prizewinner abroad but a story of honourable defeats at home, though this race has been the target ‘for a long time,’ says John Gosden. Leading two out but overtaken by St Mark’s Basilica and Addeybb in the Coral-Eclipse.

Only a length down in the King George when Adayar showed his strength and stamina and won going away.

Thanks to an incredible 101% BETDAQ percentages total – hardly an overround at all – I could back two in the race this morning.

3 ALCOHOL FREE If you argue that Poetic Flare can be reckoned a 123 or 124 after only a neck defeat by Palace Pier on Sunday, then Poetic Flare’s Sussex Stakes conqueror, Alcohol Free, is around 121.

She is certainly on the up, after being green early on. Like Sacred on Saturday, she has blossomed with the sun on her back but has never raced beyond a mile and is a light framed individual who wouldn’t want a battle.

4 LOVE Love was only third in the King George in an uncomfortable race for her: short of room, carried her head awkwardly, and had looked more at home over 1m 2f when winning at Royal Ascot.

Her 2020 sequence of 1,000 Guineas, Oaks and Yorkshire Oaks proves her worth but she was beating fillies of 114, 111, 110, 107, 104 and 97, and has in fact been dropped a couple of pounds this seasøn.

BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE: 10.0 Alenquer, 3.25 Mishriff

MAJOR GAMBLE IS STILL AT 33.0

⭕ 1.50 York This sprint is won down the middle with a final-furlong surge by a horse that’s won or been second at York in previous starts. A low draw has to get across to score, so middle to high usual wins.

The short list has to be Pendleton, Live In The Moment, Soul Seeker, Major Jumbo, and winner three years ago, El Astronaute.

The bookmakers are claiming an overnight gamble in to 14-1 Major Jumbo, but he was still 33.0 with BETDAQ this morning at 10 a.m.

Adam West, who won with Sky Blue Thinking on Sunday, rested Live In The Moment for 10 months after his five wins out of six as a youngster but he was back, straight into a place ,two weeks ago, and looks poised for this. He is 2-2 on York’s shorter straight 5f.

BETDAQ value 14.5 Live In The Moment, 16.5 Pendleton, 33 Major Jumbo

‘OVER THE MOON’ ABOUT EHRAZ

⭕ 2.25 York (Acomb Stakes) Punters have to make a judgment between five last-time-out winners, with Highclere’s Royal Patronage the only seriously unknown on breeding.

A Wootton Bassett colt, he is first foal of a daughter of Dalakhani, which makes him related to dual Derby winner Shahrastani.

Dubawi Legend was impressive at Doncaster and Noble Truth beat Ehraz eased down, at Newmarket but has drifted this morning.

However the slow-starting runner-up Ehraz was making his debut that day and subsequently quickened clear in his maiden at Ascot. Richard Hannon is reportedly ‘over the moon’ with him since.

BETDAQ value 3.65 Ehraz

VOLTIGEUR A HOT KEMARI CAPER

⭕ 3.00 York (Great Voltigeur) This race has thrown up giants – Postponed 2014, Cracksman 2017 – and is a regular guide to the St Leger (recently Logician 2019).

Last year’s winner was Pyledriver, whose rating going to post of 110 is matched and more by High Definition (113), Sir Lucan (110) and Youth Spirit (110) today.

Lagging behind them by only a pound, but with a 3lb penalty, is Kemari, stablemate of Adayar and Hurricane Lane.

He’s had only three races in his life, the last day beating subsequent Irish Derby third Wordsworth in the Queens Vase.

He looked a future Cup horse that day but his drop back to 1m 4f here is no worry after his scintillating maiden win over the trip. The dam is appropriately half-sister to a St Leger winner out of a Derby winner.

Dante third High Definition flopped in the Irish Derby but it would be no surprise if Aidan O’Brien bounced him back to win this and the Ballydoyle reputation makes him favourite over Kemari.

Once again a 102% BETDAQ orange means you can play more than one horse, with changes made as offers are taken up or rejected but, as I write, 5.6 Kemari looks the ‘biggie.’

BETDAQ value 5.6 Kemari

What are points? Points facilitate a staking plan, which is the secret to creating profit. One point is whatever you choose: a pound, a euro, or whatever ….

Start with a bank and decide how much you can afford to lose over a period of time, and determine the size of your bets accordingly. Daqman makes this variation every day.
