EMMET RYAN LOOKS AT A CRUCIAL WEEKEND IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE: It’s a huge weekend in the Premier League, let’s find some big winners in EPL betting.

If I weren’t contractually obligated to not only write a certain amount of words and for those words to actually make sense, the only thing I’d put here is that you should bet on the Arsenal vs Liverpool game because it’s Arsenal vs Liverpool. Fortunately, the powers that be insist I explain to you not only why you should bet on this game but what bet you should make. Never fear, Tipster HQ is here. The Gunners come in to this game on serious form in the league and there’s no doubt the fans will be eager to remind Raheem Sterling about his headline making comments in recent days.

The real question however is whether Liverpool have mentally recovered from that massive setback against Man United. The race for fourth is looking increasingly daunting for the visitors and a defeat in the Emirates on Saturday. Pressure hasn’t been a factor so far in this Merseyside revival but with the Gunners looking ready to make a serious push for second place, don’t expect much mercy from the home side. Bet on Arsenal at 1.89 to take the win.

The Tyne-Wear derby has lost an awful lot of its lustre in recent years. Newcastle have become the definition of mid-table and travel to Sunderland with only pride at stake. There’s no way the Magpies get dragged into a relegation battle and Europe is out of the question. Mike Ashley has made it awfully hard to care about the Geordies when they aren’t pulling off stunning upsets. Fortunately the home side has a relegation battle to contend with and a man at the helm, Dick Advocaat, who seems to always end up in messes where he has to justify his career. I like the Dutchman to mastermind a messy win on Sunday. Bet on Sunderland at 2.6 to buy some breathing room.

Finally we turn to Monday night where Man City face an do or die game away to Crystal Palace. It was Palace whose heroics effectively sealed the title for City last year but now the reigning EPL champions need to take all three points to keep alive their slim hopes of catching Chelsea down the stretch. Much as I don’t think City will take the silverware home, I don’t see them having too much trouble in this one. Bet on Man City/Man City on the Half-time/Full-time at 2.6.
