GAVIN CROMWELL: After a pair of winners midweek, brand ambassador Gavin Cromwell is hoping to continue his good form with this weekend’s runners.

It was great to keep the winners coming during the week with two nice successes at Listowel and Punchestown. Wadiyatink Now was a good winner at Listowel after over a year off the track on her first start for us. Clonguile Way won nicely on his first start in a handicap chase and he’s off to the sales now. We’ve got a very busy weekend with lots of runners, so fingers crossed we can keep the good spell going.

Gowran Park Saturday

 We’ve got three runners at Gowran on Saturday starting with Flooring Porter in the handicap hurdle (4.20pm). He was a course and distance winner in July and ran pretty well at Galway on his most recent start. Although it looks quite a competitive race, we’re hopeful he’ll be there or thereabouts again. We’re quietly confident he’ll have a good season and he’s one to keep an eye out for.

We run Biddy The Boss and Static Jack in the handicap chase (5.30pm). Both are better than what they’ve shown of late and we’re just hoping that things click with them again. They both have the form to be involved and with any luck one or even both of them can pick up some prize money.

Tipperary Sunday

Conor McNamara takes five pounds off Galaxy Girl in the handicap hurdle (3.08pm). She’s been consistent without winning for us at this grade and we’re hoping she can do so again.

Fethard Glory runs in the bumper (4.43pm). She was a good fourth on debut where she was as green as grass and she only got the hang of things late on. We’d like to think she’ll come forward for that run and if she does then she should have an each-way chance.

Kilarney Sunday

We kick things off over at Kilarney with California Blue and Daddy’s Gal in the maiden (2.25pm). Both will find this company quite tough and handicaps are where their futures lie.

Battle Of Benburb didn’t quite run as was hoped last time in what was quite a messy race at Tipperary, but we still think plenty of him. He goes in the median auction maiden (3.25pm) and hopefully he can show that promise here. We think he’s a nice horse and we’re hoping for a big performance on Sunday.

We’re looking forward to running Princess Yaiza in the Carrauntoohil Fillies Race (3.55pm). Her sights have certainly be lowered this season but this looks a nice opportunity to get back on the front foot. She looks well-treated at the weights as she doesn’t have to carry a penalty for winning her Group race. Colin Keane is in the saddle and given she’s the one to beat, we’re confident of a bold showing.

We end the weekend with Father Ailbe and Tritonix in the Muckross Handicap (4.55pm). The former won well over course and distance the last day and he’s been in good form since. This is a much deeper race, but he should go well again.

Tritonix hasn’t run well for a little while and so we’re not setting her expectations too high with her for a comeback. A solid performance would be more than acceptable and we’ll be to figure out further plans after that.
