FROM REDCAR TO PARIS WITH HAYLEY TURNER: I’m making the long trip tomorrow to Redcar for the Two Year Old Trophy tomorrow for Richard Hannon and I think this could be a very worthwhile visit.

Orvar is owned by Saleh Al Homaizi and Imad Al Sagar and I really hope he runs well. He won well last time out in Turkey with Pat Dobbs riding in a Listed Race and although I haven’t ridden him before, I’m told that he’s in great form and they’re looking forward to running him.

He’s run in some really good races since winning his debut first time out. He was sixth in the Windsor Castle behind Washinton DC, beaten just 4 lengths. He was then fifth behind Shalaa in a Group 2, just 3 lengths behind. So the form is there and hopefully things go right on the day.

Redcar is a very nice track with very little draw bias. It’s quite wide open so it’s great for getting a clear photo (2)run. It’s a good race to run in so that’s one I’m really looking forward to tomorrow.

Next week, I’m down to ride a nice gelding for Marcus Tregonning in Windsor, Clovelly Bay. I know Marcus quite likes him and it’s his second time in a Handicap. He looks like a nice ride to have.

On Wednesday, I can’t wait to get back on Hallelujah for James Fanshawe. She runs at Kempton and she’s one that I really like. I’ve spoken about her a few times before and although she’s been off for a while she’s in great form and should have a great chance.

I’ve ridden work on her a few times and she’s in great order. James’s horses are always better around Kempton for some reason and she’s won around Kempton before.

They are two good rides to look forward to next week.

TREVE WILL BE HARD TO BEAT IN THE ARC

It’s really hard to look passed Treve for the Arc on Sunday. It’s a really good race and you could make a case for so many of them but Treve has been so impressive and if there’s any doubt about any others in the race, she is surely going to take advantage of that.

At a big price, I think Aidan O’Brien’s horse, Found has a massive chance. She ran a great race in the found-ryan-moore-longchamp_3213040Champion Stakes at Leopardstown and was staying on well at the finish. As well as that, Fillies get a massive weight allowance in the race and I think she will be placed at least.

Golden Horn has had a hard season and he’s done plenty of travelling. With him I’d just be afraid that he could be gone over the top a little and the way he finished the race in Leopardstown wasn’t ideal either. He’s had some hard races to go along with that and for an Arc, they need to be at the top of their game. If he ducks out or anything that in France it won’t be tolerated no matter what the result is.

I don’t think that anyone could have any complaints about the ground but I really can’t get away from Treve as the winner and Found for a place.

There’s lots to look forward to this weekend with so much great racing on and hopefully I’ll be celebrating another big winning with Orvar.
