PREVIEW

Wycombe Wanderers have a chance to climb out of the relegation places with a win tonight, even though it may only be for less than 24 hours. Manager Gary Waddock will demand a much improved performance than Wanderers gave at the Galpharm Stadium in a 3-0 loss earlier this season.

The hosts will have their work cut out this evening given they have lost their past two league games without finding the back of the net. Before the defeats to Stevenage and Bournemouth, Wanderers were in fine scoring form with eleven goals in four matches. However, the back four were not performing to the same level and they have shipped an average of two goals per game in their past six outings.

Huddersfield have lost only once away from home in the league since August, although they let a two goal lead slip against Notts Count last time out. Lee Clark will have seen the game as two points lost, rather than one gained and that has proved the case too many times on the road this campaign.

The Terriers have bagged 13 goals in their past six away games and Wanderers’ leaky defense doesn’t look capable of keeping a cleansheet here. Even though the Terriers have been a little inconsistent in their recent away games, they look a good shout for all three points at around 1.82 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Huddersfield at around 1.82: 7 points

Thursday’s Return: -5.00
