PREVIEW

The Bundesliga looks set for a fascinating finish with four clubs all locked on 40 points at the top after 19 games. One of those teams is Borussia Dortmund and should they beat Nuremberg tonight they will open a three point lead – albeit if only for 24 hours.

Dortmund will be looking to send a message to Bayern Munich and Shalke 04 by piling on the pressure ahead of their weekend games. Jurgen Klopp’s side have started the second half of the season on fire by winning both games comfortably. Against Hamburg and Hoffenheim, Dortmund have racked up eight goals and have conceded just twice.

Robert Lewandowski grabbed a brace in his last away game to take his season tally to 15. The Polish striker scored the opener in the reverse fixture against Nuremberg and he’ll be confident of closing the gap on Mario Gomez at the top of the scoring charts.

The hosts are currently 13th in the table and if their job wasn’t tough enough against the champions, they have a woeful record against Dortmund. Nuremberg have lost five games on the spin against tonight’s visitors and they haven’t managed a goal in the past three meetings.

Dortmund will be desperate to take advantage of playing first this weekend and I expect Klopp to send out an attacking side for the road game. The way Dortmund have destroyed their past two opponents, I cannot see Nuremberg causing an upset and I’m happy to tip up the visitors with the -1 Asian handicap at 1.78 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Borussia Dortmund with -1 Asian handicap at around 1.78: 5 points

Thursday’s Return: -6 points
