PREVIEW
Steve Kean’s Blackburn Rovers are in unchartered territory this evening as they look to land a league double over Manchester United. With Manchester City dropping their first points of the season at home, United can move five points clear with a victory.

Results over the weekend did not help Rovers at all as Wigan and QPR both picked up important victories. Both those clubs are now level on points with Blackburn to crank up the pressure on Steve Kean.

Blackburn have held United on their previous two visits to Ewood Park and they of course secured a memorable 3-2 win at Old Trafford earlier on in the campaign. However, United are in ominous form coming into this clash and can now sense City are on the ropes as we approach the final stretch of the season.

Sir Alex has guided United to six straight victories and three of those have been without conceding. Wayne Rooney scored the winner against Fulham this time last week and the United forward has been in superb form over the past few weeks. His strike against Fulham was his 17th goal in his last 17 appearances in all competitions and he looks a good bet to open the scoring.

United have averaged 2.5 goals per game in their past six and they’ll be desperate to put further distance between themselves and City. At around 1.73 on BETDAQ, I would recommend punters back United with the -1 Asian handicap.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back United at 1.73 with -1 Asian handicap: 4 points

Sunday’s Return: +9.60 points
APRIL RETURN TO DATE: +9.60
