PREVIEW

It’s advantage Man City in the Premier League stakes and now Roberto Mancini’s side have a golden opportunity to land another blow on United’s season. It’s been a disastrous couple of games for the Red Devils and they head into this clash with plenty of questions surrounding their squad.

On Tuesday evening Man City opened up a three point lead at the top when they hammered Liverpool 3-0 and United lost by the same margin at St James’ Park the following night. Before the defeat on Tyneside, United had won four consecutive away league games without conceding a goal. Sir Alex Ferguson admitted his side were not anywhere good enough on Wednesday and he’ll be demanding a response.

That will be easier said than done though given the opposition United are up against. City were particularly impressive at the back against the Reds and they have also won their past 18 domestic home matches on the bounce.

Over the years there have been some feisty encounters between the clubs and BETDAQ are offering commission back on all markets across the game should there be a red card shown. Interestingly, there has been a dismissal in the past two competitive Manchester derbies.

Roberto Mancini has been complaining that he’s unable to fill his subs bench due to injuries and the African Cup of Nations timing. Both Toure brothers are unavailable for selection and will be sorely missed by the hosts.

However, City have been too strong at home this season and I fancy them to make it back-to-back victories over their neighbours at around 2.2 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Man City at around 2.1: 5 points

Saturday’s Return: +11.5
