PREVIEW

Aston Villa head into their game against Man City in a bad bit of form that has seen them secure just one win in five Premier League outings. Villa Park is usually a fortress, but that hasn’t been the case at all this season. In Villa’s past ten games they have won three games and those have all come away from home.

Alex McLeish will have been disappointed not to have got at least a point from St James’ Park last weekend, but there were some positives to draw from the performance. Villa do have a decent enough record over City and haven’t lost at home to them since 2006.

Robbie Keane’s arrival has been a boost for the club and he’s bagged three goals in four games already. This will be his last game for Villa for the foreseeable future though as his loan extension was rejected and it would be a perfect parting gift should he contribute to a Villa win.

City remain untouchable at home, but have started to show a few signs of weakness on the road. Roberto Mancini’s side have dropped 12 points this campaign and all have been away from the Etihad Stadium.

Villa have enough firepower to test City, but they have been far too inconsistent to pull off a shock. No wins in six home games means my recommendation would be to back the away win at around 1.72 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)

Back Man City at around 1.72: 5 points

Saturday’s Return: +3.68 points
