PREVIEW
Tottenham were mugged on the line last week against Everton, as the Toffees scored twice in the final minutes to win 2-1 and deal a blow to Spurs’ top four hopes.

Andre Villas-Boas’ men will look to bounce back from that defeat when they take on Swansea today. His side boast a brilliant home record against the Welsh club, winning ten and drawing two of the 14 league meetings at White Hart Lane.

However, Spurs have kept just one clean sheet in eight Premier League games this season at home and their tendency to let in late goals may come back to haunt them. The table shows that if games finished after 80 minutes, rather than 90, Tottenham would be top of the league.

The Swans were predicted to struggle this year after losing key men and their manager Brendan Rodgers but, largely thanks to the prolific Michu, have performed credibly and are only three points behind today’s rivals.

The £2million striker, looking like the buy of the summer, has already matched Swansea’s 2011-12 top scorer Danny Graham’s total of 12 goals from last season. The Spaniard sits top of the Premier League goalscoring charts and will fancy his chances versus the Lilywhites. The north London club’s total of 25 goals conceded in their opening 16 games is their third highest total at this stage of a Premier League season.

Spurs are rightful favourites but, at around the same price on BETDAQ, backing both teams to score at 1.7 looks a brilliant bet to round off the weekend.
