PREVIEW
Defeat at Southampton last weekend all but ended Manchester City’s quest to retain the league title to leave the FA Cup as their best opportunity of securing a trophy this year.

Roberto Mancini was left fuming at the final whistle on the South Coast and questioned the desire of some of his star players. The Italian will demand a much improved performance for Leeds United’s visit to draw a line under the recent disappointment.

City remain formidable at home and there’s little evidence that the Championship side can cause an upset. Leeds have lacked a cutting edge ever since Luciano Becchio was allowed to leave in the January transfer window to join Norwich.

The visitors have lost twice in three games; twice drawing blanks in that period. That isn’t great when you consider City have scored four times and conceded zero in their two cup games to date. Their only home game in the competition saw them put three past Watford and a similar score line is predicted.
