PREVIEW
Massimo Ficcadenti takes his Cagliari side to the Stadio Renato Dall’ Ara for a mid table clash with Stefano Pioli’s Bologna side this evening.

With both teams struggling for form recently a win for either side would lift them to 10th place, a position both managers would be happy to finish the season in. Bologna’s home record this season has been erratic as they have won only five of their 16 fixtures and have won just once in the last five.

Similarly Cagliari’s away form has been inconsistent picking up just seven points out of a possible 36 in their last 12 away games. Ficcadenti’s side sit two places above their opponents in 12th place, but will be looking to finish the season strongly to build for next year. However, with just one win in their last 12 away games that strong finish doesn’t look likely to start here.

With just 17 goals in their 16 home games this season it’s clear why Bologna have struggled to pick up points, and with one goal in their last three games that problem doesn’t look likely to stop now.
