PREVIEW

Stuart Pearce’s preparations for his first game in charge of the England senior squad have not gone to plan as Kyle Walker became the latest player to pull out of the squad. Walker joins Darren Bent, Wayne Rooney and Tom Cleverly on the injury list ahead of tonight’s game against Holland.

England were last in action in the middle of November and the Three Lions recorded a 1-0 win over Sweden courtesy of Daniel Majstorovic’s first half own goal. The win saw the side extend their unbeaten run to nine internationals, during which they have won on six occasions. Many of the Dutch players will be well known to the Three Lions given a number of them ply their trade in the Premier League.

The Three Lions have won their past three home internationals with successive 1-0 results against Sweden, Spain and Wales respectively.

Holland are not playing their best football at the moment, which has seen them fail to win their past three internationals. However, they’ve not lost to England since the 4-1 defeat at Euro 96 – a run stretching five fixtures.

This match comes at a time when the fixtures are really piling up for club sides, so there will likely be some tired legs at Wembley. Pearce has chosen an experimental side and it will take time for the side to click. Given the past four meetings finished all square, I’m happy to back another draw at around 3.2 on BETDAQ.

RECOMMENDATION: (1-10 points)
Back the draw at around 3.2: 4 points
Tuesday’s Return: +5.82 points
