MATCH POINT: Our tennis tipping column is 61 points up since it started. The next BETDAQ tennis bet comes early on Saturday morning in the Chengdu Open in China.

Dusan Lajovic did us a favour midweek with his 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win over Juan Ignacio Londero to boost the profit on the column since it began to 61.88 points.

Lajovic has progressed on to the semi-final on Saturday but it’s the other semi-final that makes most appeal in the Chengdu Open in China as Alexander Bublik takes on Lloyd Harris.

The BETDAQ tennis market has Bublik as their 1.83 favourite and he makes plenty of appeal at that price for the match due to be played early on Saturday morning.

Bublik, a 22-year-old Kazakhstani, was in sensational form with his serving when beating fourth-seed Grigor Dimitrov 5-7, 7-6, 7-6 in an epic two and a half hour battle in which Bublik showed great character in saving two match points.

But it was his serve that impressed the most, 35 aces and he held his nerve well in the deciding set tie break to win the first five points.

Bublik has now reached the semi-final of an ATP event for the second time in his career so mentally should be able to cope. Standing in his way of a second final is South African Lloyd Harris who is also serving well.

Harris is ranked 40 places lower on World Rankings and although the pair are meeting for the first time on a hard court, on the only previous encounter (indoors in Russia) Bublik ran out a comfortable 6-3, 6-4 winner and can hopefully confirm that superiority.
