PREMIER LEAGUE: We preview Monday’s Premier League game between BURNLEY v NEWCASTLE with extended stats and a recommended BETDAQ bet.

BURNLEY V NEWCASTLE

8pm We have Monday Night Football to enjoy this week as Burnley host Newcastle. Burnley have had some poor results already this season; however on the face of it they were probably happy to sitting 15th position with nine points after 12 games heading into the International break considering the way they have been playing. Newcastle would have went into the break very happy too after two back-to-back wins against Watford and Bournemouth.

Newcastle actually jumped out of the bottom three and above Burnley heading into the break; which shows just how tight it is at the bottom of the table. We expect a very close and hard fought game here – it’s hard to see anything else. We have a very open market with the match odds at the time of writing currently trading; Burnley 2.92, Newcastle 2.84 and the draw is 3.2.

The thing that seems to be bring Burnley down is their home form. They have collected one win in their last eight home Premier League games – a surprise 4-0 win over Bournemouth. It’s hard to back them with that kind of form especially in front of their home fans. Newcastle haven’t been superb this season; however they did have to start with some tough fixtures and they will be full of confidence after winning their last two.

From a value point of view, we’re happy to back the draw here at 3.2. As we said, it’s hard to see anything but a close game and with Burnley struggling in front of their own fans and Newcastle grinding out games rather than playing good football – we can see both sides cancelling each other out here.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Draw at 3.2.
