PREMIER LEAGUE SUNDAY: We preview both of Sunday’s Premier League games with a recommended BETDAQ bet starting with Liverpool v Southampton at 1.30pm and then Arsenal v Man U at 4pm.

LIVERPOOL V SOUTHAMPTON

1.30pm After results last weekend, Liverpool are now in a prime position for a top four finish and will want to keep the pressure on United who play later. They’ve won three of their last four when City, United and Arsenal have all dropped points, and with Southampton shipping plenty of goals lately, they should extend that winning run here.

The odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Liverpool 1.64, Southampton 6.2 and the draw is 4.3. It will be fresh in the minds of many fans that Southampton beat Liverpool in both legs of the EFL Cup semi-final, and with Liverpool still being unreliable at the back – maybe the 1.62 is a price to stay away from, even if they should win.

Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.75 which looks good value. We all know about Liverpool’s style of play, and their troubles at the back – while Southampton conceded seven goals in their two recent games against Chelsea and Man City. They’ve also found the net in their last six away games and with Liverpool leaving gaps at the back, over 2.5 goals appeals at 1.75 to start Super Sunday.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Over 2.5 goals at 1.75.

ARSENAL V MANCHESTER UNITED

4pm After getting totally outclassed last weekend by their North London rivals Spurs, Arsenal fans will demand a win against United here. The thing is though, with United proving very tough to beat these days – can they do it? Obviously all the draws for United has stopped them moving up the table, but you still have to respect the 25 game unbeaten run – especially considering that Arsenal are odds on here, and aren’t exactly having a good run.

The match odds at the time of writing currently stand at; Arsenal 1.97, Manchester United 4.4 and the draw is 3.75. United were pretty impressive against Celta Vigo in the Europa League on Thursday night when winning 1-0 away from home – Pogba ran the show and they probably should have won by more. Earlier in the week, Jose Mourinho hinted he might rest players for this one, but that’s probably mind games with Wenger.

Speaking of the managers, Mourinho’s record against Wenger is superb. He’s never lost against Wenger in 12 games, and seen his side keep eight clean sheets from those 12. There’s plenty of reasons to lay Arsenal here, who simply look too short at 1.97. Another option is under 2.5 goals at 1.95, United haven’t seen many goals in their goals and have been pretty solid at the back – however we feel that there is more value in the Arsenal lay at the odds.

BETDAQ BEST BET:
Lay Arsenal at 1.97.
