NOW 6 NAPS FROM 7: SHAMROCK landed his 6th WINNING NAP from the last 7 with ROMAN GOLD (NAP) WON 11/8 at Clonmel yesterday.

Roman Gold won really well yesterday to land the nap and only bet of the day at 11/8.

The current naps sequence is now 6 winners from the last 7:

Thu: DANI THEATRE (NAP) WON 2/5
Fri: TAKE COVER (NAP) WON 3/1
Sat: BLUE DE VEGA (NAP) WON 11/10
Sun: WAITAKI (NAP) lost
Mon: Non Runner
Tue: DON’T TOUCH IT (NAP) WON 2/5
Wed: INDRAHAR (NAP) WON 4/5
Thu: ROMAN GOLD (NAP) WON 11/8

Early nap on Friday – the Jim Bolger trained Clear Cut in the opener at Newmarket.

After narrowly failing to win at Fairyhouse on debut he was bumped up to Group 3 company for the Autumn Stakes here at Newmarket last time out but made little impression. The drop back in trip and class should trigger a first win.

Listed action tonight at Dundalk with the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Cooley Fillies Stakes (Listed) at 7.20. This looks trappy and I’m not sure I want to be backing the Sir Mark Prescott trained raider Don’t Be at short prices. For all she is dropped in class she hasn’t shown much sparkle in her last few races and has had a relatively hard season.

Later tonight all eyes wil be on Aidan O’Brien’s Hit It A Bomb in the opening Breeders’ Cup race at Keeneland – the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf.

He romped home when last seen at Dundalk and remains a hugely exciting prospect but got the second worse draw possible and that certainly tempers enthusiasm.
