TWO OUT OF TWO FOR SHAMROCK: It was a successful day for SHAMROCK on Thursday when his lay bet Realt Dubh was beaten at 11/10 and his nap, Wrath Of Titans, won the final race at 8/15.

It’s Friday so that means one thing….. Dundalk.

There’s an eight race card this evening with big field sizes.

I thought Lady Mega was of interest in the opener, particularly as I expected her to be much shorter in the BETDAQ market.

There was certainly nothing wrong with her debut run here over course and distance when she finished runner-up to He’s No Saint.

He’s No Saint went on to run in a Listed race won by Giovanni Boldini who of course went on to run a cracker in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf when only collared late home by Outstrip.

It’s stretching credibility too far to make any form line comparisons in terms of Lady Mega but suffice to say it was a very encouraging debut.

The puzzling factor is that stable jockey Wayne Lordan has opted to ride debutant Not Your Call leaving a 10lb claimer on Lady Mega.

I’ll keep my mine bet on Lady Mega, but also have a saver on Not Your Call.

High Net Worth is beginning to look unlucky. He has finished second in his last four flat races and fell at the first when tried over hurdles at Cork last time out.

The 8.45 looks a weak affair and High Net Worth can at last have a change of luck.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: High Net Worth (8.45 Dundalk)
NEXT BEST: Lady Mega (with a saver on Not Your Call) (5.45 Dundalk)
