KILBEGGAN ON FRIDAY: SHAMROCK heads jumping on Friday to the jumps card at Kilbeggan which gets underway at 4.35.
The opening Kilbeggan Opportunity Maiden Hurdle looks a match between Sam King and Comehere Hi with preference for the former.
Sam King probably has the potential for the greater improvement and ran his best race yet when dead-heating for second last time out at Tramore behind Cillian’s Well.
Comehere Hi is unlikely to get the soft ground which I think she needs. She comes here on the back of a decent third at Bellewstown behind Rocky Court when the ground was soft.
Later on, Steps To Freedom should be able to record a first win over the larger obstacles. The Jessie Harrington trained runner has been placed in several races including last time out at Galway when third to Empresario and a reproduction of that effort should easily be good enough here.
