IRISH RACING RESUMES ON WEDNESDAY: SHAMROCK looks back to the Curragh yesterday when Aidan O’Brien worked 50 horses after racing.

Aidan O’Brien thinks his horses are ‘forward enough’ at the start of the new season.

Speaking after racing on Sunday O’Brien said: “The filly ran well in the Group race (on Sunday), she just got a bit tired and the two horses in the maiden ran well. I think they are forward enough.”

O’Brien worked 50 horses after racing on Sunday including his leading Classic contenders Air Force Blue, Hit It A Bomb and Minding.

Air Force Blue heads the BETDAQ ante-post market for the 2000 Guineas at the end of next month.

O’Brien said: “Seamus (Heffernan) was very happy with Air Force Blue. He cruised up the middle. It’s five weeks to the Guineas and we’ll probably go straight there. He was very happy with where we’re at.”
