LISTED ACTION AT ROSCOMMON: The Listed Lenebane Stakes is the feature race on the Roscommon card tonight with a field of 11.
Jim Bolger has won the last two runnings of the Lenebane Stakes and has sound chances of making it three with Altesse.
The four-year-old filly has been given a break since finishing second to Massinga in a Listed race at Cork on heavy ground. She seems equally as effective on a firmer surface – judged by her second to Toe The Line at the Curragh.
The Aidan O’Brien trained Bantry Bay looks the big danger after his close up sixth in the Queen’s Vase at Royal Ascot.
He met trouble in running that day and would have gone a lot closer.
The drop back to 1m 4f isn’t a negative for this one.
