NAP CRASHES OUT BUT NEXT BEST WINS: Yesterday’s NAP Is Herself About was a faller when still in contention at Clonmel but the next best was a winner, Immediate Response (WON 6/4) who defied a lengthy absence.

Dundalk keeps the show on the road on Friday and fingers crossed that the weather doesn’t get in the way of either Fairyhouse tomorrow and more significantly Punchestown on Sunday which sees a match-up between Big Zeb and Sizing Europe in the Tied Cottage Chase.

This evening DANICK OF TIME is a stand out nap for me in the 6.20. I’m very tempted by anything above evens (currently exactly evens on BETDAQ) for a horse that brings good recent form to a race that seemingly will take little winning.

Danick Of Time will surely only have to reproduce his run of the 13th January over course and distance to land this. He was beaten by the favourite Aragorn Rouge that day having just been headed close home. The same apprentice rider is onboard tonight and I simply don’t see anything that can beat him here. The only negative is one of resolve – there was some tail swishing last time but the positives outweigh that concern in my mind. I don’t do banker naps like my colleague DAQMAN but if I did……. (in a similar vein to the Carlsberg ads) this would be it !!

GORT NA MONA can lose her maiden tag in the finale at 9.15. She has had plenty of chances but ran a solid race at the track when second last time out and Jim Bolger’s filly should be able to win a race of this calibre.

SHAMROCK’S BETS:
NAP: Danick Of Time (Dundalk 6.20)
GORT NA MONA (Dundalk 9.15)
