FAIRYHOUSE ON SATURDAY: SHAMROCK heads to Fairyhouse on Saturday for his best bet of the day in the Grade 3 Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle at 1.55.
Frustrating day yesterday when the nap, Viaduct Joey, was pipped a head at 11/4.
The ground remains soft to heavy at Fairyhouse and a dry blustery day is forecast.
The feature race on the card is the Solerina Mares Novice Hurdle (Grade 3) at 1.55 which brings together winners of multiple recent races.
Willie Mullins again seems to have the ace card in the pack with the unbeaten Morning Run. She won three bumpers before running out an easy winner on her hurdling debut at Tipperary and then followed up by winning a Grade 3 at Down Royal despite making a significant error at the last. She still scored by an unextended seven and a half lengths and like so many from the yard it’s hard to gauge just how much potential she has.
Willie Mullins should make it three in a row in this because if the nap doesn’t win the biggest danger could come from stable companion Lyrical Theatre – a winner at Thurles last time but classy enough to win a Listed bumper at Navan.
