FLEMENSTAR IS BACK: from injury to contest the Webster Cup at Navan this afternoon.

All eyes will be on the Tony Martin trained Flemenstar as he makes his comeback from injury in the Grade 2 Webster Cup Chase at Navan this afternoon.

He hasn’t been seen since winning the Fortria Chase here in 2013 which was his first start for Tony Martin having previously been trained by Peter Casey.

Owner Stephen Curran said: “Everything has been going well and he seems in good form at home. He’s back with Tony and we’re looking forward to his first race back after injury. We’re hoping to get him ready for Punchestown, but Saturday will tell us a lot and we always take it one day at a time with him. Whatever he does at the weekend he’ll improve on it.”

With those comments in mind it looks a watching brief today.

The Jim Dreaper trained Sizing Titanium has run two good races in second place and should be able to go one better in the Annual Family Day 17th May (C & G) Maiden Hurdle at 2.40.

It was a particularly good effort when second to Wildebeest over course and distance last time out.
