SUNDAY AFTERNOON AT DUNDALK: The all-weather track is back after a short break and SHAMROCK plays his NAP card in the 2.40 race.
Good to see Dundalk back in action today.
Best bet for me is Pleasant Bay in the maiden over six furlongs at 2.40.
He shaped well on his racecourse debut at Leopardstown in May to finish fourth to Sacred Aspect. He was only beaten a couple of lengths and the form has worked out well with the winner going on to take a Listed race and the third placed Heart Focus finishing second in a Group 3 race at the Curragh.
Pleasant Bay has also fared well with a number two draw – low numbers have an advantage here at Dundalk.
It’s close in the BETDAQ market between him and Sniper who drops significantly back in class after finishing last of five in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh last weekend when a 40/1 shot.
