BIDDING FOR 4th WINNING NAP FROM LAST 5: SHAMROCK landed his NAP and ONLY bet on Saturday with Radanpour who stormed home by seven lengths at Gowran Park.
Radanpour couldn’t have won any more easily at Gowran Park yesterday – officially seven lengths but could have been anything.
That’s now three winning naps from the last four !!
Three Group races at Leopardstown this afternoon:
2:40 Ard Glen Amethyst Stakes (Group 3) (3yo+, Class 1, 1m, 7 runners)
Onenightidreamed is stepping up from handicap company to Group class but won the Irish Lincolnshire in style at the Curragh last time out and is worthy of support given similar underfoot conditions. The Tommy Stack trained runner has been well supported in the BETDAQ market this morning.
3:10 Derrinstown Stud 1,000 Guineas Trial (Fillies’ Group 3) (3yo, Class 1, 1m, 9 runners)
A decent field numerically and it would be no surprise to see a big priced winner go in. Stormfly is the obvious starting point. She won a similar trial race here in fine style and seemingly has plenty more to offer. The form of that win has worked out well. I prefer a place alternative and like the look of Plus Ca Change for a place. She showed promise on debut here and followed that up with an easy success at Dundalk.
3:40 Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial Stakes (Group 3) (3yo, Class 1, 1m 2f, 4 runners)
Looks a match on paper between Success Days and Summaya now that Aidan O’Brien’s Order Of St George is out of the race. Preference is for Success Days who relishes the soft ground and had plenty in hand when winning the Ballysax Stakes over course and distance.
