ONE BET – ONE WINNER: SHAMROCK named POTTERS POINT as his NAP and ONLY bet of the day on Saturday. It was an 11/8 winner and now means 6 from the last 11 NAPS have won.

I saved the best until last on Saturday when the NAP and only bet of the day POTTERS POINT won the finale at Punchestown at 11/8. He made most of the running to record a smooth four and a half length win.

There’s a good flat card at Navan on Sunday and jumping from Limerick.

The Navan highlight is the Group 3 Coolmore Vintage Crop Stakes at 3.55 over 1m 6f. Aidan O’Brien has a good record in this race but his sole runner this year Kingfisher looks to have a tough job on his hands.

The obvious selection here is Forgotten Rules from Dermot Weld’s stable. The five-year-old is unbeaten in three starts and remains a hugely exciting prospect.

He was impressive on debut at Punchestown in a bumper winning by 13 lengths proving staying was his game. He has since transferred that winning form to the flat with an easy success at Galway and then successfully stepping up in class to win the Group 2 Qipco British Champions Long Distance Cup on Champions Day at Ascot. He did hang badly right in the closing stages that day but still won in style.

There was speculation that he might be switched to jumping but Weld was quick to quash those rumours and he should be able to defy his penalty to continue his unbeaten sequence.
