BARNACLE TO PAY THE TIPPERARY BILLS: SHAMROCK plays his nap card in the 6.30pm tonight at Tipperary on their mixed card.

Barnacle Bill should be able to build on the promise of a highly encouraging debut at Leopardstown when third to Aidan O’Brien’s pair Bondi Beach and Bantry Bay – beaten just over a length. Bantry Bay went on to win well at the Curragh next time out and the form looks solid. The ground was heavy on that occasion but it’s still soft in places at Tipperary so that shouldn’t cause any issues for the Jessica Harrington trained runner.

There’re a whole host of potential improvers here including Commander Won who showed promise on debut when third at Roscommon on debut and should be suited by the extra trip.

Harasava has the rare achievement of NOT being a Dermot Weld winner at Galway !! She wasn’t unfancied on debut there but could only finish sixth over seven furlongs. She is another likely to be more at home over the 1m 4f trip tonight.

The John Feane trained Azamesse has finished second in both her starts at Dundalk but was soundly beaten last time and this looks much tougher.
