SNOW PROBLEMS AT LEOPARDSTOWN: No weather related problems ahead of Leopardstown on Sunday.

With the weather expected to worsen both sides of the Irish Sea later this week, Leopardstown officials are confident that their Sunday card will be ok.

Newbury and Newcastle have both announced inspections ahead of racing on Wednesday but looking further ahead to Sunday and the Leopardstown card it looks good at this stage.

Leopardstown chief executive Pat Keogh told At The Races: “At the moment the going is soft on both hurdle and chase tracks. There is some rain coming in tomorrow, but we are not anticipating any difficulties for the weekend.”

It’s another quiet week for Irish racing but a quality card to look forward to at Thurles on Thursday with two Grade 2’s on the card including the Ladbrokes Ireland Kinloch Brae Steeplechase for which there were 12 five day entries.
