FLAT ACTION AT FAIRYHOUSE: SHAMROCK previews the Listed Blenheim Stakes – the highlight of Tuesday’s Fairyhouse card at 3.20pm this afternoon.

10 runners go to post for the Blenheim Stakes over six furlongs at Fairyhouse this afternoon.

It looks an open contest and at the top of the BETDAQ market is the Godolphin runner Vitello who was a course and distance winner in June. She built on an encouraging debut at the Curragh to win her maiden and justify her even money price tag that day but hasn’t been seen since that win which is a little concerning for the Mick Halford trained runner.

Preference is for Juliette Fair who stormed home to win her maiden at Leopardstown and was then pitched into Group 3 company by trainer Dermot Weld for the Round Tower Stakes. Although only fourth of five to Smash Williams, she was by no means disgraced and the winner looks extra special.

Taisce Naisiunta and Miss Katie Mae both have some good runs to their names but have been kept relatively busy and it would be disappointing if one of the lighter raced sorts wasn’t capable of finding further improvement to land this.
