GOING TO GOWRAN: SHAMROCK heads to Gowran Park on Tuesday when his best bet of the day runs in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms E.B.F. Fillies Maiden at 8.50pm.
Sidra looks the pick of the fillies in the maiden that finishes the Gowran Park card tonight.
The Dermot Weld trained runner has finished fourth at Cork in both her starts and might just be better suited by this extended trip.
Her form to date is quite modest – but she certainly stands out in this very average looking maiden and at around 3 on BETDAQ at the time of writing looks a decent bet.
Favourite is Jolyne who followed up her third at Naas on debut by finishing fourth at Leopardstown to Private Paradise (form of race hasn’t worked out particularly well since). She didn’t get the clearest of runs that day and is another likely to be suited by the longer trip.
It’s hard to summon up much appetite for the others. Aidan O’Brien’s Terracotta has been tried over a variety of distances and going not to mention various headgear accessories but has so far proved disappointing.
