NAAS BANKER: SHAMROCK’s NAP was third at 6/1 yesterday. He plays at shorter odds on a horse he considers a banker on the Naas card.

Third place at 6/1 from the NAP yesterday, Konig Hall at Ballinrobe. There was an easy winner of the race in the shape of Tornado Watch who was well backed again and dotted up – defying his 12lb hike in the weights with contempt.

Irish action comes courtesy of Naas today with a seven race card underway at 2.30 on mainly yielding ground.

Aidan O’Brien’s Courage Under Fire looks a banker in the maiden at 3.40.

He has very much been mixing it at the top table with two good efforts in Group company in his last two starts including second to stable companion Caravaggio in the Group 1 Phoenix Stakes at the Curragh.

Whilst he is odds-on at the time of writing (1.82) it’s surprising that he is not even shorter on the BETDAQ market. The drop back in trip to the minimum looks a positive and he should readily outclass his rivals.
