PREMIER LEAGUE MONDAY: The Striker previews BRIGHTON v LIVERPOOL with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
BRIGHTON V LIVERPOOL
8pm It’s the final week of the 2024/25 Premier League season on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! We have the final day taking place this Sunday, although for Monday Night Football we are still in Matchday 37 as Brighton host Liverpool. It’s obviously party time for the Liverpool squad, and it’ll be interesting to see what kind of starting XI we get here along with the performance. We had some viral videos last week from the squad on holiday in Dubai and Arne Slot partying in Ibiza. Not exactly confidence inspiring for what motivation levels they have for the final two games of the season!
Brighton have been very disappointing this season – they haven’t managed to get themselves into a race for the European spots and they have been sitting in mid-table. There’s still a chance that they could get a Europa Conference League spot if they finish eighth depending on how things work out so they have to aim for that. It’s no surprise that we have an open betting heat here given the situation – it’s quite clear that there’s been a huge gulf in class between the sides this season, but we just don’t know what to expect from Liverpool here.
Nevertheless, Liverpool come into the game as the favourites at 2.56 with Brighton 2.72 and the draw is 4.0 at the time of writing. Although the players might actually be feeling refreshed after their trip to Dubai, I wouldn’t be rushing to back Liverpool here as favourites. They’ve clearly switched off and have been celebrating their title win – they were lacklustre away to Chelsea recently too. Whether or not Brighton are good enough to take advantage is another question; I would actually expect some market movement on the team news here. I can’t see a full strength Liverpool side – so it’ll be a case of fastest fingers first from that point of view.
We should have a very entertaining game here. Liverpool have no reason to sit back, and they play an attacking brand of football anyway. Arne Slot will undoubtedly tell his players to go out and enjoy the game, and Brighton usually play an open game too. Brighton have been exceptionally sloppy at the back this season – they’ve conceded well over their xG conceded figure goals wise, and that is what has them sitting in mid-table. Over 2.5 goals is trading 1.52 with Both Teams To Score a handful of ticks shorter at 1.47. I would lean towards laying Liverpool just based on their motivation levels coming into this game, but I feel this game screams goals – Over 2.5 goals looking a cracking bet at 1.52.
The Striker Says:
Four points win Over 2.5 goals at 1.52 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
