FA CUP FOURTH ROUND: The Striker previews DONCASTER ROVERS v CRYSTAL PALACE with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
DONCASTER ROVERS V CRYSTAL PALACE
7.45pm The FA Cup Fourth Round continues with Monday Night Football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE! Doncaster Rovers host Crystal Palace in the only FA Cup fixture, so it’s slightly disappointing the BBC have it on the Red Button but let’s be honest – it’s not the most glamorous fixture. Crystal Palace will be expected to win here given the gulf in class between the sides. Doncaster play in League Two, and they’re currently sitting in third place seven points behind league leaders Walsall.
As you would expect given the massive gulf in class between the Premier League and league Two, Crystal Palace come into the game as the red-hot favourites at 1.28 with Doncaster Rovers 12.0 and the draw is 6.6 at the time of writing. Third in League Two is a fair reflection of how Doncaster have been playing this season; they have the third best attacking figure and the third best defensive figure. Their average xG conceded is 1.09 which is a very good figure, so they might be able to cause Palace some problems here.
Palace sit comfortably in mid-table, and they have been in good form lately too. They’ve only been beaten twice in their last 13 games – they ran out comfortable 2-0 winners against Manchester United last weekend too at Old Trafford. Granted, plenty of teams have come away with a win from Old Trafford this season! Palace have won their last three away Premier League games; all 2-0 and they’ve actually won five of their last six away Premier League games so you couldn’t really ask for a better record to bring into this game.
Given the gulf in class, Oliver Glasner might opt to rest some of his key players but that isn’t his style so we can expect a strong XI. I do feel that some clubs in the Premier League look down on the FA Cup; the way things have gone in recent years the mid-table Premier League clubs have made some odd decisions in FA Cup games. I expect Palace to get the job done here, and obviously we’ll have to look around the side markets with Palace trading 1.28. The bet I like is Palace to cover the 1.5 goal handicap at around 1.8 – I expect Glasner to name a strong XI and Palace have been very good away from home recently. They can cover the handicap on the way to winning.
The Striker Says:
One point win Crystal Palace -1.5 goals to beat Doncaster Rovers at 1.8 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE
