CARABAO CUP: The Striker previews Tuesday’s Carabao Cup Quarter Final between ARSENAL v SUNDERLAND with a recommended BETDAQ bet.

ARSENAL V SUNDERLAND

7.45pm The Carabao Cup Quarter Finals kick off on Tuesday night and all the focus is on Arsenal hosting Sunderland tonight on BETDAQ Betting Exchange. These games happen at an uncertain time for the Premier League, and while this fixture looks fine we have six Premier League sides in action On Wednesday and it will be interesting to see what happens there. That’s tomorrow’s action however, and Arsenal and Sunderland fans won’t be worried about that. The market is fully expecting an easy home win here with Arsenal trading 1.2 at the time of writing.

You have to feel that this game comes at a good time for Arsenal, they have been putting together a very good run and they must be full of confidence. They have come up short at times, but you would expect that with Arsenal to be honest. They have been hammering the smaller sides, as we seen against Leeds at the weekend and they were very impressive last week against West Ham too. With six Premier League games called off at the weekend, Arsenal now have a four point advantage over West Ham in the race for a Top Four finish. I’m sure the others will catch up when they play, but for the time being anyway Arsenal are full of confidence.

Sunderland are also having a good season. They were held to a 1-1 draw at the weekend away to Ipswich but they are sitting in third in League One. Sunderland have had their ups and downs in recent seasons, but you have to say that they are a consistent side to be around the Playoffs. They never seem to have things go well for them when they get there though, and they need to push for an automatic qualifying spot this season. I think it’s fair to suggest they deserve it after all those years of Playoff upsets. You get the feeling that they would stay in the Championship too and not end up like Charlton who went up but now they are back in League One and down in 12th.

While Sunderland will give themselves a good showing here, it’s hard to see them getting a result. Arsenal will outclass them here – they are in fantastic form and creating a host of chances. It’s hard to see how Sunderland will stop them, and Arsenal love a Cup run. It’s tempting to rest a few players here no doubt, but with Manchester City out of the competition this is an excellent chance for Arsenal to win a trophy and they can’t let that slip. I feel Arsenal can cover the handicap here, and -1.5 goals is worth backing at 1.6 – Arsenal have been creating so many chances recently this should be a routine home win.

The Striker Says:
Two points win Arsenal -1.5 goals to beat Sunderland at 1.6 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
