SCHALKE V STUTTGART

7.30pm We have two fascinating fixtures in Europe on Friday night! I would suggest neither fixture is a highlight for the casual football fan because they aren’t big teams involved, but they are two intriguing fixtures from a betting point of view. Long term readers will be aware of how much we have made betting against Schalke since lockdown – they actually haven’t won since January 2020. They’ve had a few draws against the weaker sides, but they continue to play poor football.

Last week was pretty straightforward as Schalke played Dortmund and they were easily outclass. They only created an xG of 0.16 in a 3-0 loss. The main reason for their lack of wins is going forward, they barely create anything. This game will be interesting, as Stuttgart aren’t a slam-dunk bet against Schalke. They were very lucky to draw with Koln last week, actually losing 2.14 to 0.64 on xG. Their away performances have been much better; they have yet to win at home, but have two away wins. For that reason I’m happy to support them, and again go against Schalke, at 2.28.

The Ultra Says:
Two points win Stuttgart to beat Schalke at 2.28 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange

EIBAR V CADIZ

8pm We move to La Liga at 8pm for another wide open betting heat on BETDAQ Betting Exchange here. At the time, Cadiz beating Real Madrid was a big shock – however since then Real Madrid have gone on to lose to Shakhtar and draw with Gladbach in the Champions League. They did beat Barcelona 3-1 in between those fixtures though; it’s hard to get a read on Real Madrid at the moment! Cadiz followed that win up with a draw against Villarreal, and now they are unbeaten in four which they would have been delighted with coming up to La Liga.

Eibar produced a shock win themselves last week when beating Sevilla 1-0, but xG shows that they were incredibly lucky to win. Sevilla won the game 2.07 to 0.12 on xG. Eibar’s underlining numbers aren’t impressive, and I think they are worth taking on here at 2.6. Cadiz have been solid, and tough to beat. With Eibar not creating much, they look a good value lay at the odds.

The Ultra Says:
Two points lay (liability) Eibar to beat Cadiz at 2.6 on BETDAQ Betting Exchange
