FRIDAY IN EUROPE: The Ultra previews ATALANTA v LECCE and PSG v NICE both with a recommended BETDAQ bet.
ATALANTA V LECCE
7.30pm Friday night football on BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE comes from Serie A and Ligue 1 this week with two cracking games! Two home wins will be expected with Atalanta and PSG both in action but you can make the case of taking on both sides too, so we have two interesting markets. We kick off the night with Atalanta hosting Lecce in Serie A – we had a change in schedule this week in Serie A with the Pope passing away on Monday, the Monday fixtures were moved to Wednesday. The important game from an Atalanta point of view was the Juventus game – it’s hard to see Atalanta dropping out of the top four at this stage but they are finishing the season poorly. They’ve really dropped away from the title race! Lecce are under immense pressure at the other end of the table; they are sitting just outside the relegation zone coming into this weekend. Parma have grinded out a lot of results lately so it’s down to a bottom four – as things stand, Lecce one point advantage over Venezia and Empoli so things couldn’t be any closer really. Lecce will be under pressure until the end of the season.
As you would expect looking at the table and where the sides are sitting, Atalanta come into the game as the red-hot favourites. The home win is trading 1.28 with Lecce 13.0 and the draw is 6.6 at the time of writing. Atalanta went through a tough run of three straight defeats recently to drop out of the title race, but to their credit they have bounced back with back-to-back wins against Bologna and AC Milan. Even allowing for that, I wouldn’t be rushing to take the 1.28 here – there’s no prizes for tipping favourites that short anyway; however it doesn’t jump off the page as a bet I’d like to include in any weekend Acca. The problem for Lecce is quite obvious this season – they have desperately struggled in front of goal. They have a mid-table attacking figure, but they are only converting close to half of those chances. They have the joint-third worst defensive figure too, and you can see why they find themselves in the relegation battle. I’m keen to keep stakes low here given the situation, but Over 2.5 goals looks a nice bet at 1.63. Lecce are conceding a tonne of chances, but they are creating enough to score too – if they actually start taking their chances!
The Ultra Says:
One point win Over 2.5 goals at 1.63 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.

PSG V NICE
7.45pm We move over to Ligue 1 to finish Friday night with PSG in action as they host Nice. PSG are in an exceptionally strong position in Ligue 1 having the title already in the bag which allows them to fully focus on the Champions League. It’ll be interesting to see the team news and selection for the remaining games this season – PSG are still unbeaten in Ligue 1 and obviously we’re going to find out how important that is to them by team news on the run. They face Arsenal in their Champions League Semi-Final on Tuesday, and then the second leg is on May 7th. Arsenal dumped Real Madrid out in the Quarter-Finals, so PSG need to be in top form. They seem to have a great thing going this season under Luis Enrique – they have finally dropped the big name approach and that seems to have worked with morale in the dressing room. We always had stories when the big stars were there and obviously when they had the “best top three in world football” they actually had nothing behind them. They were exposed in the Champions League; and as we all know the Champions League is the acid test for PSG given they are always expected to win Ligue 1.
This should be a good game with Nice having a good season – it’s actually a far more important game for Nice given they are still pushing for a European spot. The come into this matchday sitting in fifth but they are only three points behind Monaco and two points behind Lille in fourth. As you would expect given they have home advantage, PSG come into the game as the odds on favourites. PSG are trading 1.63 with Nice 5.7 and the draw is 4.5 at the time of writing. It’s hard to know the motivation levels for PSG here – as I said the only thing they can achieve in Ligue 1 now is an unbeaten season, and we’re going to find out how important that is for them with the team news. Nice have been impressive this season going forward – they have the second best attacking figure behind PSG but they have a mid-table defensive figure and that’s why they don’t sit in the top three. I feel we’ll have an open game here, and we should have plenty of chances in an end-to-end game; Both Teams To Score is trading at 1.71 and that looks a nice position.
The Ultra Says:
One point win Both Teams To Score at 1.71 with BETDAQ BETTING EXCHANGE.
